How to ensure accurate foot scan?

Please check the list below:
Reflective floor/rug
  • Do not stand on reflective surface or rugs.

Crumpled/torn paper
  • Ensure that the A4 paper is not crumpled or torn.

Use A4 Letter sized paper (21 x 29.7 cm)

Movement during scan
  • While scanning, you must keep your feet still and firmly planted on the ground.

  • Ensure the paper doesn’t move during the scan.

Movement of the feet or paper will result in an incomplete or inaccurate scan.

Hard shadows
  • Avoid single source of point light

  • Avoid strong shadows and overhead light

Ensure no hard shadows exist during scan

Bad lighting
  • You must have bright, even lighting during the scan. Soft, indirect natural light is preferred, if possible.

Harsh shadows, direct sunlight, and low lighting will result in an incomplete or inaccurate scan.

Bad contrast
  • Please find a room with plenty of open floor space, and a floor that is a different color than the color of your feet (i.e., sufficient color contrast between your feet and the floor).

  • Hard wood and tile floors work well.
